Training overview
This program blends structured ground knowledge, instructor-led flight training, briefing and debriefing, safety procedures, and practical aviation decision-making.
Program Description
This course is designed as an over 12-week program at VAC to prepare you as an Instrument Rated pilot. The instrument rating allows the pilot to fly an aircraft in flight conditions that require relying on instruments. This qualification is required to work in an airline as a pilot.

No limit to the number of passengers. Add ratings to fly at night, in cloud, multi engine, or advanced airplanes.
Learning Objectives
An applicant shall have knowledge about the following subjects:
An applicant shall successfully complete a minimum of 70% on the written examination Instrument Rating (INRAT) and flight test as pilot-in-command.
Method of Evaluation
Students' progress is measured by successful completion of program courses; a minimum of 90% of all course marks as well as each assessment component is required to successfully complete the program.

Completion Requirements
Flight Training
40 hours of Instrument, of which not more than 20 hours on Approved Flight Simulator.
Ground Training
No minimum ground school requirements, however students benefit from ~40 hours of Ground School at VAC.
