Student life

The daily lifestyle of becoming a pilot.

Training is more than logged hours. It's the preparation, discipline, and mentorship — and the community of aviators you grow alongside at Pitt Meadows.

Briefing culture

Every flight begins and ends on the ground. Pre- and post-flight briefings with your instructor turn each lesson into real understanding — the habit that defines professional pilots.

Flight planning

Weather, weight and balance, routes, and fuel. You learn to plan every flight properly before you ever start the engine, building the judgment that keeps aviators safe.

Simulator sessions

Practice procedures, instrument work, and emergencies in our simulators — repeating the demanding scenarios until your response is calm, precise, and automatic.

Airport operations

Based at Pitt Meadows Airport, you train in a live, controlled environment — radio calls, taxiing, and traffic — learning to operate confidently among real aircraft movements.

Cross-country flights

Plan and fly to unfamiliar airports across British Columbia, putting navigation, radio work, and decision-making together on the longer flights that build true command.

Aviator community

Join a community of students and instructors from around the world who share one goal. The friendships and mentorship you form here last well beyond your training.
